Following Jack Shear's lead I want to do something for the guys that Nystul hosed. To this end I am going to make a setting and some adventures. This is the setting map (Divine Right style. It is a cleaned up and colored version of a map I made last year. It is a classic fantasy setting, but draws more from the Hobbit, The Elfin Ship and Dark Crystal than LoTR. My name for it sucks, suggest another in the comments.
And as a bonus here is the adventure map. I have a rough key, but it is not ready to post.
This is the first time that "Following Jack Shear's lead I" hasn't been followed with "need bail money."
ReplyDeleteSuggest a name for the setting before the crickets decide to finish me off.
ReplyDeleteBefore I suggest something, I need a little more info. You are the primary protagonists? Is there a central location they're from?
ReplyDeleteThe dwarves origninally come from Urux in the Gloomy mountains. They are pretty much responsibe for the last apocalytpic war, and now exist as a scattered and broken people badly in need of redemption and desperate to take back their homeland.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking that the game will involve the struggle surrounding the retaking of the Gloomy Mountains, and dealing with the threats of the Hex-King and an ancient Dwarfish artifact known as the Crown of Sorrows, which is like the Black Cauldron, except you, like, wear it on your head and junk.
ReplyDeleteWicked awesome!!! Love the maps and the reason for doing this project.
ReplyDeleteOkay here is my idea for a name: The Lands of Shit-Hell-FuckYa-WickedAwesomeness-tonshirebergstanborough-upon Riverlands on Imperial Ocean.
ReplyDeleteOr The Realms of Anti-Nystul.
The Hex-Ridden Realm
ReplyDeleteI've been following this awesome project and its reasons. This is great. I have to say that knowing your art 'Metal Earth' this is going to rock! Cool idea, and I'll be spreading the word in the morning.
ReplyDeletehow about...gloomy mountain hop? Legacy of the crown of sorrows? shadow of the hex-king?
ReplyDeletesorrows of the dwarven age...lol I'll keep working on it, more info about the history and current world might be useful. BTW I loved Divine Right, love ur map!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the Shadow of The Hex-King!
