The more I work on this thing the weirder and longer it gets.

  2. Is the Skull going to become the starting location for Metal Earth? I can't wait to hear more about its inhabitants and such.

  3. I think it may be a starting location. I'm also kind of aiming to make a city that anyone could slap down in a wasteland of their choice. I'm working on stuff regarding the inhabitants right now. There's pages and pages of stuff already written, over a dozen creatures and several more drawings, but I'm going to wait until I'm done with the entire thing before I post any significant amount of it.

  4. It is, Gib, awesome.

I'm now thinking of how/where to use as a location for a DCC game.

You never cease to amaze me.

  5. This is great. The overhead city map reminds me of the original Dark Sun boxed set. I don't remember if you have already mentioned this in one of your previous posts, but the underground sea in the side view makes me think that all the oceans in your setting are hidden underground. I may steal that for some setting some time.

  6. @Brendan, Dark Sun is definitely an influence. There are two above ground oceans, The Stained Sea, and The Atomic Ocean; both are contaminated. The good water is all underground, though.

  7. I especially like the side views because of the airship over the city, the winged things (bats? gulls? pterodactyls?) flying in the cavern, and whatever those things are sticking up out of the water (dianoga?).

  8. Inspired by the timeless young adult classic "Are You There, God? It's Me, One of the Barbarians Whose Ancestors Killed You and BUILT A CITY IN YOUR FREAKIN' GOURD AFTER WE SCOOPED YOUR BRAINS OUT AND FED THEM TO OUR DINOSAURS!".

This is just awesome. Very inspirational.
